I just can not fit this in my schedule right now. I'm leaving the blog open. If you subscribe in a reader (see upper left hand column) you will know if I start posting again. I hope to . . . but am not sure . . .

Menu Planning Monday - The Better Late than Never Edition

I confess, I have been thinking about closing this blog up. I've given it a good try, but I am just not sure I have time for it.
Ultimately, I've decided to continue to forge on for now, primarily because of Menu Planning Monday.
If it weren't for MPM, I would not be as accountable to menu plan. When I don't menu plan, the week goes to South Dakota in a hand basket. :)
***********
This week is the perfect storm: I have no desire to cook, barely anything premade in the freezer and a busy week. I was chanting, "Go out to eat. Go out to eat." just about 10 minutes ago. But I walked down to my freezer and just started pulling things out. Once it's thawing in the fridge, we have no choice but to eat it, want to or not.
For suppers
Roast, carrots & potatoes
Keilbasa, potatoes and fresh green beans
Rib-eyes, grilled eggplant and a salad
Pasta w/ pesto, broc & ham, fresh bread . . .maybe a salad
Papa Murphy's pizza w/cold veggie tray and dip
BBQ shredded pork sandwiches, cole slaw and baked beans
This post is linked to Menu Planning Monday at I'm an Org Junkie.

Coming Soon!
It was a nice break - and I got a lot of things done.
I'm jumping back in tonight after the kids go to bed. Look for a MPM post and a Hy-vee post before I go to bed tonight.

Savers! Don't miss this one!
If you are a thrift shopper than you will know not to miss Savers %50 off sale on Monday. Don't let the crowds scare you. You can save big time on clothing houshold goods and toys. They keep restocking the store all day long! Who knows what you may find.
Lifelight Freekend!
As for Freekend events I am taking the lazy approach and telling everyone to just come out to the LIFELIGHT Music Festival at Wild Water West. It is free and of couse I have to admit I want everyone to bring their children out to the children's stage to catch Do Re Let's Play!

The children's stage also has free inflatables, free craft activities, a sheep, giant sandbox and entertainment for the kiddos!

Check out www.lifelight.org to get more info on Lifelight such as stage schedules and lists of performers.
Visit www.myspace.com/doreletsplay to hear more about Do Re Let's Play!
This is an event for adults too! Other stages at Liflight host nationally known artists the likes of which you usually have to pay big money to go see in Concert. You don't want to pass up an opportuntiy like this! Free entertainment! Perfect Weather!
Have a good weekend everyone!
